One of my journeys- cruise from Seattle to Alaska

Cruise to Alaska between glaciers...

Cruise to Alaska between glaciers…

Thanks to my temporary job I had an opportunity to travel by a ship from Seattle to Alaska. I guess this journey is worth it just because beauty of the nature you will observe. Let me put here a quote Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller. The first time I was sailing I was simply amazed by the severity of the landscape. Ice, rocks, fiords, frozen ocean’s water, different shades of blue…

You don’t often have an opportunity to watch seals, orcas and whales. The major cruise lines offer 7-day round-trip voyages. When you keep watching glacier and wild animals, you realize how small you are comparing to the power of the nature… The biggest of USA states is different than the rest of them. In the National Parks one will find the largest glacier in the world- Malaspina, highest peak of North America– McKinley and active volcanoes.

Cruise till the end of the world…

Natural Beauty of Alaska

Does it sound like a good reason to go there? Of course, it’s faster if you take a plane. But, like I said, it’s not only destination which matters here but travelling itself. It’s breathtaking views from the ship and admiring the power of the nature. When I was watching this wilderness I thanked God I was swimming ,,with civilization” and was not left there alone. Alaska is not a place people visit to enter museums or clubs.

Whale Watching in Alaska

It’s a possibility to see bears, wolves, mooses, bisons, foxes at your fingertips in Wildlife Conservation Center. What will you say on canoeing around National Park Glacier Bay? Or drinking glacial water in one of the most beautiful caves in North America? Of course, Alaska is associated with famous ,,Gold Rush”.  At Stewart and Fairbanks, you will find traces of the gold seekers towns. If you think you will be able to sleep during White Nights– don’t hesitate and take a cruise to Alaska! It’s called The Last Frontier and it’s here where your comfort zone is over. Do you dare? I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list 🙂
